Now There's a Knife! Massive Shank, Good Quality
Great value, great bargain. Huge and good design, better looking than most inexpensive blades. I've had a few survival and hunting knives, and this one is surprisingly good especially considering the price. The handle was a bit loose as some have found but that is an easy fix, just tighten the nut at the bottom, and throw some Gorilla glue in the handle if you want and it will never rattle again. Or you can do what I did and go full Gil Hibben on it! First I disassembled it completely, polished the blade and metal parts (yes you can get it to a mirror finish with very fine sand paper, I used a 3M headlight polishing kit which had various fine grit discs and Mother's metal polish.) Then I JB Welded the hand guard to the blade, and JB Welded the threaded bolt at the end of the tang for extra strength. Put black weatherstripping adhesive on the tang and on both ends of the handle before sliding the handle back on, put on the butt plate with more adhesive and tightened the spiked nut. Buffed the hell out of the blade some more, then finally put a razor edge on it. Even without doing all that it is a solid sturdy knife and great to add to your collection or take camping. Now my knife is so solid and shines like a much more expensive knife. It was a fun project. The tang is narrow but does go the full length of the handle, even so I wouldn't stand on it or chop firewood with it. With some patience you can get a very sharp edge, was somewhat sharp but I wanted it razor. Used a stone with a bit of dish soap on it. It isn't a Kabar or a Gil Hibben, well now mine is ; ) but for ten bucks it's a great deal and you can have some fun with it. Not too much fun eg. don't take it to school or wave it around in public. Also, the serrated edge on top of the blade was super sharp and functional right out of the box. Note, the pictures are with the blade and hardware polished, but it already comes with a nice shiny satin finish. Might have to get another one.

Well after reading the other reviews I figured what the heck if I get a crappy one I can either gift it or just return it. Well I was pleasantly surprised, first it's a pretty good size knife. Around 17niches at a guess without measuring it. Mine came somewhat sharp which my KO worksharp will remedy quickly. What really impressed me was the serrated edge. That was scary sharp and the serrations were ground on both sides making a very sharp peak in the middle of the spine. The pommel was different than the picture, with a 3/8 tall cylinder with a short tapered peak point of around 1/8 tall.
The handle could use a more textured finish and mine feels like a smooth satin rubber. It was well put together with nothing loose. Overall for the price I will be buying another or more pretty soon. They will make nice Christmas gifts. Needless to say I am very happy with my purchase. If your not sure and riding the fence on getting one, remember you can always send it back. Mine also came with an ok nylon sheath. It is nothing special but will hold the blade just fine. I would guess my new knife will hold up fine as long as I use it as it was mentioned to be AS A KNIFE and don't be an IDIOT like some people who use their fixed blade knives as throwing knives, or try to chop down trees with them. (I've seen other people do this especially with samurai swords and knives, and then the cry and whine that their weapons are just junk.) Granted if you have a katana that has a 1/8 inch thick bade, it is junk but even the 7-9 mm thick ones are were not ment to chop into trees.
Respect your bladed weapons and use them for the purpose they were made for.

Was just browsing through the knives one night and this one caught my eye. A knife this size, made of quality materials, at this price. Really ???
Read the reviews. Other customers seemed to be happy with it. Thought why not. It's not expensive. I'll probably just add it to my collection and put it up anyway.
When I got it I was happily surprised. It was very large, and made of quality materials, and of good workmanship. I even took it to work the next day and showed it off to some of my co-workers. I originally bought it just "to have", but turns out I think it could do very well as a good camping and outdoor knife. I'm very satisfied in this purchase. Probably won't buy another one just like it, but makes me feel more confident in the descriptions given for the products. It is exactly as described, and more. Not afraid to buy more knives from Amazon now, "sight unseen". They are of the highest quality and workmanship, just as described.

UPDATE:
I sharped this thing and now it is razor sharp. I love it more every day.. 5/5

Original review:
First of all this thing is HUGE. It looks awesome and it is only $20. It surpassed all of my expectations and appears to be able to take a beating. It could have arrived a bit sharper but that is not a deal breaker to me.

I added some photos of it in my hand to get a good perspective on how large it is.

The knife is of excellent quality but the handle looks cheap. It is actually well made but the finish has something about it that looks inexpensive, once again $20.

The sheath fits perfectly and has a snap to hold the knife. I really hope it lasts once I sharpen it but it appears to be great as well. I am super happy for the cheap cost of this knife for how good it is.

Please vote ‘YES’ to the question: “Was this review helpful to you ?” If my review help you .
It means so much to me to know my review has helped someone.
Thank you very much!

I'm not a knife enthusiast as some people that have reviewed this knife prior. I found out what "full tang" and "half tang" means just now after browsing some reviews. All, I can say is that it's probably the most solid knife for its price. Big, heavy and intimidating. To quote Boris the Blade AKA Boris the Bullet-dodger - "Heavy is good. Heavy is reliable." It also reminds of me of Croc Dundee's "THIS IS A KNOOOIFE!!!" scene.
