The pistol grip is not removable, for total customization you might look into AR9's as literally every part on an AR can be switched out.

No, the grip is molded to the lower receiver. So you cannot swap it. Would of been nice if they made them ar15 compatible. Sorry and hope this helps.

Jim, the SP9A3SB uses a Is roller delayed blow back design. Delayed blow back is good for reducing felt recoil and reducing gas blow back when using a suppressor over the older SP9A1 Dynamic Blow back Mass Bolt design. Less felt recoil = a more controllable firearm. Cheers and stay safe!

Thomas, this is the Gen 2 Model SP9A1 and a Buds reviewer stated his came with the standard original magazines which was a concern for him. All SP9A3's came with the upgraded magazines. This gun has fired every single round I've put through it without a SINGLE misfire, and its gone through a solid 600+ rounds. Properly clean it like one usually would and it will continue to become a lifelong work horse. Highly recommend this to anybody whose looking for a good PDW, whether its a truck gun or for home defense.

First, the bad. I ordered a specific S/N, as offered by Buds, yet received a different one. Not the firearms fault or deal breaker but disappointing nonetheless.
Now the good. Fit and finish are very good especially at this price point. No nicks or damage from shipping. Gun case is good for storage but not security. The included 3 mags are appreciated but they are the first gen style so longevity remains to be seen.
Charging the firearm requires some oomph but I expected that from a blowback.
Shooting: Trigger started rough but worked itself in after a couple hundred rounds. Pull is around 6 lbs on my gun.
Recoil is snappy without a brake but it’s a blowback 9mm so nothing to gripe about. Adding a brake helped the rise and recoil but as usual increased the sound levels for the shooter. I don’t use the brake.
In 750 rounds I had several failures to feed, an issue I was aware of beforehand, but spraying the inside of each mag with dry lube has so far remedied the problem. I’ll try some 3rd gen mags later on but the problem shouldn’t be happening at all.
No undue wear or tear has been noted.
I am happy with the purchase and Buds was great to work with.
