Let me break it down:
-Wooden applique is made from a real hardwood, and has an attractive grain/finish. Obviously its not as durable as the other metal options for this knife, but it will hide minor wear and tear better than other materials.
-Spring opening mechanics for this knife are nifty. I like using the back 'switch' rather than the thumb studs, adds a little unique flair over typical pocket knives. One compromise to this mechanism is that it takes two hands to close. Also, the safety switch seems a little useless to me, but it does work very well.
-The pocket clip isn't too bulky, and is on the opposite end as most other knives I've had. However, I decided to remove it (I like the look and feel better). I don't recommend doing this unless you have some handy precision tools laying around. The screws that hold it on are too long to put back by themselves. I had to cut/file them down to make them shorter... tricky work.
-The blade came extremely sharp, but I can't speak to its hardness yet (I've only had it for a little). AUS-8 stainless steel has a pretty high carbon content, and is a little harder than 440A stainless steel (used in many pocket knives). So, it should stay sharper for longer.
Overall impressions are very good. I really like the weight and size. It seems well engineered and assembled. One tip for cleaning, don't take this knife apart. I did and once I noticed that the spring around the pivot point could easily come uncoiled, I quickly aborted that mission. Instead, use a q-tip to get the pocket lint out.
Stuff that I should maybe take off one star:
1. There's a bit of play in the blade that is noticeable when it is closed. I resolved this by tightening it up. This required loosening it first to break the blue loctite on the threads. Then I carefully tightened and loosened it until, after tweaking it fractions of a millimeter at a time, I got it just right. Now there is minimal play when the blade is closed, it returns to center anyway, and it is not so tight that I notice it when I flick it open.
2. I expected it to be sharper out of the box. I carefully sharped up the edge with a Lansky system. It has gotten only light use, but it doesn't seem to have dulled since I sharpened it.
3. Unless my middle finger is nestled in the pocket clip, it is a little too small and slippery to open one-handed. I have the clip so that it is touched by my middle finger on my right hand, and is easy to open one-handed. But trying it with my left hand is trickier and I have to be much more deliberate and careful.

PROS:
+ Excellent blade shape & heel for many uses
+ Compact size & weight goes anywhere
+ Well made, no flaws in the manufacturing
+ Attractive, not aggressive looking (in wood)
+ Both clip and lanyard attachment points
CONS:
- Thumb stud is positioned such that you'll cut yourself, don't use it (already did, ouch)
- Flip/assist mechanism takes practice, requires holding the knife a bit precariously
- Back lock is less safe than a liner lock because of the way you have to hold the knife to press the lock
The SOG Twitch II is small enough to be unobtrusive, but the blade is sharp as a razor, and the wooden handle looks slick. The belt clip is also well designed enough that it's not so much as budged from my pocket over the last month of use.
The safety lock mechanism is my only negative impression, and it's a very small negative. The lock button is somewhat unwieldy, being in the middle of the knife rather than at one end or the other. It took me a bit to get used to it, and at this point I generally just leave it unlocked.
