Details Give your shotgun some serious reach with this sabot slug ammunition from Winchester. These 3-inch, 12 gauge shells come in packs of 5 and fire a one ounce slug with an expansion cavity designed to take down deer and boar quickly. Each slug leaves the barrel at a muzzle velocity of 1,400 feet per second, more than enough to ensure strong penetration and expansion out to 200 yards and beyond. These slugs will work only with shotguns designed to handle 3" shells. Winchester also makes a 2-3/4" version that has slightly less muzzle velocity but also lower recoil.
