Blue Force Gear ISH Combines Gun Belt and Climbing Harness

The short version: Blue Force Gear's new Integrated Stealth Harness (ISH) combines a gun belt, a certified climbing harness, tourniquet support and a travel restraint in one low-profile rig built for operators who move between the ground, aircraft and vertical work.

Until now, people who rappel or work around aircraft usually stacked a duty belt and a separate climbing harness, which adds bulk and setup time. The ISH is built on Blue Force Gear's MOLLEminus platform with a curved, anatomical shape, and the leg loops are removable, so the climbing function only comes out when it's needed.

The key detail is that it isn't just tactical-looking webbing. The ISH carries UIAA and EU certification as a Type C mountaineering harness and is rated for loads over 3,000 pounds. Its windlass points can be used for emergency tourniquet application or as anchors for rappelling friction hitches.

Blue Force Gear developed it alongside Ishmael Antonio, a former Air Force pararescueman with more than two decades in uniform. Most civilian shooters won't need climbing capability, but the ISH is a good look at where load-bearing gear is heading: fewer separate pieces doing more jobs.
