FALCO's Four New Hybrid IWB Holsters Cover Hip and Appendix Carry

The short version: FALCO Holsters has launched four tuckable hybrid IWB holsters, two built for strong-side hip carry and two for appendix carry, each blending molded Kydex with Italian leather and offered in light-bearing versions.

The hip-carry pair, the A915 and A915 L, rides at roughly the 3 to 4 o'clock position. The leather-backed Kydex shell has a gentle curve so it sits against the hip and spreads pressure out. Two polymer clips let you tuck a shirt in over the gun, the top is open for a clean draw, and the bottom is open so lint and grit fall through. FALCO says these can be custom-made for more than 2,600 handgun models, which helps if you carry something less common.

The appendix pair, the A916 and A916 L, uses what FALCO calls TalonGuard: instead of one Kydex shell on a leather back, a molded Kydex insert closes around both sides of the trigger guard for added protection and passive retention, while leather still faces your body. Retention screws let you tune draw resistance, and an optional claw pushes the grip in to cut printing.

The "L" models fit guns with weapon-mounted lights, so light carriers don't have to shop a separate line. FALCO says the expansion came from customers asking for more tuckable hybrid choices.
